The population in Vanuatu is about 275,000.  The official language is Bislama (which is a local language), English and French (which is from the previous colonial days).

The largest towns in Vanuatu are Port Vila, which is also the capital.  The international airport is Bauerfield, which is only 10 minutes from Port Vila.  Many international flights like Virgin Australia, Fiji Airways, Air New Zealand arrive at the airport daily.

The main economic industries in Vanuatu are agriculture, tourism, and offshore financial services.  Agriculture provides a living for most of the population while tourism brings in much needed foreign exchange.
